Day to Day Stuff in the Flat

DONT FORGET YOUR KEYS!! 

The door locks once it closes. 

ALWAYS check you have a set of keys with you before you shut the door.  You will be locked out!  

Did I mention not to forget the keys!

There are a number of converters and USB chargers around the flat for your North American and UK needs.  Please use at your convenience and please don't remove from the flat.  

Mmmmm Coffee!

For my coffee I bring my own beans from Canada.  3 Large teaspoons of beans into the grinder on the right and use the french press to make great morning coffee!  There are beans in the cupboard or just nip to Jafers and pick up your own beans or already ground coffee.

1. Boil water

2. Grind beans

3. Pour grounds into french press

4. Pour in boiling water

5. Give it a stir, then plunge the plate down to the bottom of the french press

6. Enjoy!

We do not have cable in the flat.  Both TVs are Smart TVs so you may login to your streaming services for your entertainment.  You may also bring your Firestick / tv box / laptop to plug in via the provided HDMI cable.

Please ensure you empty the garbage and recycling at least every other day.  In Portugal, the garbage and recycling is communal, so if you turn left outside the building you will will see a series of bins as in the picture.  This is where your should deposit garbage and recycling.  There are various garbage bags under the kitchen sink.

AC: Please keep the AC in the living room 24-28C.  That will be plenty to keep the room comfortable.  In the Master Bedroom, please keep the AC to a similar temperature.  When you leave the flat for the day please turn off the AC units to save energy.

Dehumidifier: Please empty the dehumidifer on a daily basis.  This will keep the moisture out of the air. 

Chairs and towels for the beach are available in the 2nd bedroom closet.  Please use at your leisure.  

PLEASE shake the sand out of the towels and chairs before you come back up to the flat. Please hang the towels off the balcony to dry them and air them out.

Jafers:

Jafers is the local convenience store.  There is one about 1 minute from the flat, and one on the way to the beach.  Jafers is fairly well stocked and you can get pretty much anything in a pinch.

Continente:

Continente is the local grocery store chain and has everything like any full size grocery store does.  Suggest you take an Uber, will cost about 3€ one way.
